New Joint Accelerator Program Sponsors Digital Health

Lund Life Science Incubator (Lund LSI; Sweden) and Healthy Habits (Lund, Sweden) are launching Health2B (Lund, Sweden), an accelerator environment for innovative teams that will enable information and communications technology (ICT) to meet classic life science, with the goal of creating a new generation of companies.
Applications to the Health2B startup accelerator will be accepted beginning in December 2015, and in early 2016 the selected companies will be able to start the three-month program. Through Health2b partner Almi Invest (Göteborg, Sweden), which sits on the application jury, participating companies will have the opportunity to apply for a funding base of approximately USD 25,000. Health2B will provide access to mentors, contract sponsorship packages from local and international players, and provide active support in accessing international markets with high regulatory hurdles.
Lund LSI will contribute its expertise in development of regulated products designated for the healthcare market, a large network of specialists who are familiar with the healthcare system, and an environment in which answers to the many questions facing entrepreneurs can be addressed in the staff lounge. Healthy Habits will serve as a catalyst to foment new technologies and new methods of social and behavioral expression that best promote human health and well-being.
“One of our strategic areas is Digital Health, and together with Healthy Habits we are now focusing on an eHealth accelerator for fast-growing Swedish and international high-tech companies in the health field,” said Ebba Fahraeus, CEO of Lund LSI. “We have a unique community within the incubator that is invaluable for IT entrepreneurs who want to focus on health. Together with Healthy Habits we will be a strong team that can help entrepreneurs to develop further.”
