Merivaara Showcases Latest Innovations for Operating Room Solutions

Merivaara Corp. (Lahti, Finland) showcased its latest innovations for operating room (OR) solutions at MEDICA 2018, the world’s largest medical trade fair held in Düsseldorf, Germany, from November 12-15, 2018.
Over 5,000 exhibitors from almost 70 countries attended the show with plenty of firms aiming to offer healthcare solutions. Additionally, the show also focused on the workflow of patient treatment with individual focal points including electromedicine, medical technology, laboratory technology, diagnostics, physiotherapy, orthopedic technology, commodities and consumables, information and communication technology, medical furniture and specialist furnishings for hospitals and practices.
As a manufacturer of medical device and products for healthcare, Merivaara offers software, equipment and services that improve patient safety and increase the quality and efficiency of surgery operations in hospitals. Merivaara’s software solutions for the OR include OpenOR for integrated operating room management, OpenOR Lite for image documentation and consultation, and MeriConnect for OpenOR. The company offers a range of operating tables, including Promerix, Practico electro-mechanical, Practico manual, Rapido for day surgery, and Flexion orthopedic extension device.
Merivaara also offers surgical lights for the OR, including the Q-Flow, which improves the working environment in ORs as well as offers a new way to reduce the risk of infections. The company’s Merilux X1 examination light fulfils the high quality and hygiene requirements of small procedures and examinations, making it best suited for emergency rooms, examination rooms, recovery rooms and ICUs. Other products for the OR offered by Merivaara include mobile workstations, anesthetic trolleys, treatment trolleys, nurse trolleys, instrument trolleys, etc.
