The RAI Congress Center in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) will be the setting for the eHealthcare World conference and exhibition to be held October 18-19, with the motto Global eHealth: changing the rules, opening the borders. Here, 50 speakers from more than 10 countries will join the world's leading Internet health executives in an intensive two-day session to discuss current ehealthcare issues, the implications of ehealthcare, and the future of emedicine.

Participants will learn about the most up-to-date European perspectives on ethics, privacy, patient education, informed consent, and regulatory and social issues. The impact of the Internet on the practice of medicine and the delivery of healthcare will be explored, as will the challenges of enhancing healthcare delivery through use of the Internet. Successes and failures in the U.S. marketplace will also be examined.

Participants can choose among three concurrent tracks geared toward the most important market segments in the European ehealth community. Healthcare Administration and Clinical Caregivers (Track I) is designed for university, hospital, and clinical administrators and doctors. Pharmaceutical and Biotech Advancements (Track II) is directed toward executives from the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Web Initiatives, Financing, and Public/Private Partnerships (Track III) is aimed at the needs of patient-centered healthcare professionals and planners.

The exhibition at ExpoCenter will demonstrate how companies from around the world are using the Internet to streamline the ehealth revolution. For more details or program updates or to register, visit
